Local HR Support (temporary)

Reports to: Local HR Lead

Ingredion is hiring an HR Generalist to give onsite support for our Lima location. If you have experience in different HR tasks (specially recruitment and internal communications), and enjoy giving support to employees, this position is for you

The Local HR Support reports to HR Operations and is part of the Shared Service Center in Mexico, but sits at each local site. Delivers and coordinates local administrative HR tasks, providing front-line support to deliver necessary local HR activities, including associate talent acquisition, contingent worker management, Local learning logistics in South America, and is on track with the use of standardized systems and procedures to continuously improve the employee experience.

Core Responsibilities:

- Deploy services that are required to be executed at a local level in a daily basis.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and manage contingent workers, including partnership with local vendors.
- Internal Communications.
- Create and maintain (be responsible of) Employees files.
- Provide input on HR policies, processes and programs to HR Ops and the HRBP.
- Support local Learning logistics, collaborating with local Training Specialists and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
- Support local events and benefits activities according to the local practices.
- Keep continuous communication with the location HRBP.
- Guide HRBPs and employees about HR Transformation (HRT) processes to request services.
- Complete local tasks related with diverse HR Ops processes like hires, terminations, promotions, keeping a continuous communication with Guadalajara’s Shared Services Center (GDL SSC) partners.
- Understand and achieve SSC metrics and targets.
- Share best local practices and escalate cases to the team Lead to do recommendations or improvements.
- Requirements:_
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in HR environment as a Generalist
- Spanish necessary, and English would be a plus
- Working knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures
- Prior experience with a HRIS system is preferred, ideally Workday
- Prior experience with Shared Services model preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, comfortable with Excel, Power Point and Outlook, willing to expand skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to handle varied activities and to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
