Supervising and coordinating various construction activities to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project. Managing construction crews, subcontractors, and resources on-site.
Key Accountability AreasSupervision and Coordination:
- Directly supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel to ensure tasks are completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assign tasks to construction workers based on their skills and project requirements, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
Project Planning and Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project plans, schedules, and requirements.
- Communicate project information effectively to the construction teams.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, coordinating with different teams to ensure construction activities progress according to the established timeline.
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Issue Resolution and Record-Keeping:
- Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process, collaborating with construction teams to find practical solutions.
- Keep accurate records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and any changes or modifications made during the construction phase.
Budgetary Control:
- Be aware of budgetary constraints and assist in controlling costs by monitoring expenses and reporting concerns to project management.
HR Proficiency:
- Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Safety:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
