The Position
The Finance Director Pharma Peru & Bolivia position is based inLima and reports to the General Manager. As a key member of the Peruvian Enabling Team (PET), you will provide organizational leadership across the affiliate, jointly sharing accountability for the affiliate's transformation journey. Separately, this role requires you to provide leadership and coaching for the functional areas of Business Finance, Financial Accounting, Tax (dotted line), OneProcurement, OneTreasury & Credit Management, and Commercial Operations. You are also expected to coach individuals within other functions to continuously evolve the model as per business needs.

The key opportunities include:
- VACC Organizational Leadership: As a member of the Enabling Team, you are expected to model and foster VACC leadership across the organization by acting as a Visionary (connecting the enterprise vision), an Architect (formulating strategy and ensuring enabling architecture), a Catalyst (removing roadblocks and encouraging experimentation), and a Coach (empowering people to make business decisions). This leadership spans the entire affiliate, beyond your functional boundaries.
- Driving Transformation: Be jointly accountable for the affiliate transformation, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, and patient centricity that inspires teams to adopt an agile way of working.
- Strategic Impact & Business Development: Lead and sponsor key strategic projects and initiatives (local, region, global, and cross-function). This is a key role for Business Insight to foster Business Development across all markets.
- Entrepreneurship and Partnership: Focus on helping internal and external stakeholders navigate complexity. Use system thinking and an end-to-end view to identify business opportunities and mobilize networks for impact. Drive negotiations, country vision, and business development through internal and external business partnerships.
- External Facing: Play an active role in engaging ecosystem stakeholders (e.g., department of health, healthtech, fintech insurers) and shaping policies that enable better access for patients.
- Culture Building & Talent Management: Lead in promoting high standards of business behavior and ensuring compliance. Encourage diverse perspectives, new ideas, and shape new ways of working. Help the team get enriching experiences based on their development areas and career interests and actively participate in feeding the global finance talent pipeline.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure the integrity and reliability of the company's financial statements, including the Balance Sheet. Manage local finance while ensuring compliance with Roche Group Accounting, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
Who You Are
- A minimum of 10 years of finance experience with time spent in a leadership position.
- A professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or a University Degree/MBA.
- A proven record of ensuring financial governance and a strong network within the internal and external financial communities.
- Pharmaceutical knowledge is highly appreciatedLanguage:
- Spanish and English language fluency is required.

- Business and Financial Acumen: An outstanding business acumen and strategic agility, combined with an outstanding financial acumen and a proven track record of sound fiscal planning and management.
- Leadership and Influence: Strong entrepreneurial, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to get things done without authority. You must be highly adept at identifying solutions that meet the needs of all involved parties.
- Relationship Building: A proven track record of building strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
Note: Relocation benefits are not available for this role.
