Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

About the Opportunity

We're looking for two Senior Data Engineers to support a large-scale initiative for the mining industry. You will work with a global delivery team focused on data platform scalability, sensor data modeling, and analytics for real-world operational insights.

This is a high-impact opportunity to work on one of the largest mining data ecosystems in LATAM, helping teams unlock value from IoT sensor streams and complex data workflows across geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
  • Model and process real-time and batch data from mining sensor systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand operational needs.
  • Optimize data flows for accuracy, performance, and business value.
  • Document data models, processes, and validation logic.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Modeler.
  • Strong experience in Azure data services and infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Python.
  • Experience modeling and processing sensor data or industrial datasets.
  • Understanding of real-world data integration, validation, and governance.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 level or above).
  • Availability to start within 1–2 weeks.
Nice-to-Have
  • Prior experience in mining or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with real-time data streams and IoT integrations.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools.
