A growing renewable energy operator is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility in Peru, NY.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing plant operations including feedstock receiving, anaerobic digestion, biogas and RNG production, digestate handling, and wastewater management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Reliability, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Asset Management, and Corporate Operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable facility.

This position is ideal for an experienced plant leader with a strong background in biogas, wastewater, or industrial operations, who thrives in fast-paced environments and leads from the front.

• Oversee plant operations using SCADA and HMI systems for real-time monitoring and control.

• Manage production performance, site safety, and operational efficiency.

• Lead, train, and supervise operators and technicians, ensuring SOP and safety compliance.

• Coordinate daily operations and resolve issues as they arise.

• Support annual business planning, operating budgets, and capital planning.

• Conduct training audits and ensure quality, safety, and performance standards are met.

• Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues and stakeholders.

• Ensure 24/7 plant coverage and provide operational support as needed.

• Recruit, train, and develop plant personnel.

• Oversee daily workflows and deliver performance feedback.

• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• 5+ years' experience in biogas, anaerobic digestion, wastewater, or industrial plant operations.

• Proven plant operations and maintenance leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, and piping drawings.

• Safety-focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

• College degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's preferred).

• Valid driver's license required.
