Job Summary
The
Engineer, Operational Excellence
is responsible for driving operational excellence by implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies across manufacturing processes. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, improving productivity, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

What Are You Gonna Do

  • Analyse manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, maintenance, and cost.
  • Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, and visual management tools.
  • Drive automation and digital manufacturing projects, including robotics, cobots, vision systems, AGVs/ASRS, and automated testing solutions.
  • Define technical requirements and manage suppliers, overseeing URS development, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
  • Integrate MES, SCADA, and PLC data with IIoT platforms to enable real-time operational visibility and data-driven decision making.
  • Apply advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases such as predictive maintenance, defect detection, and process optimization.
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Lead and coordinate CI projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable impact.
  • Train and coach teams on Lean principles, problem-solving tools, and CI methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management Systems, as well as internal policies and local regulations.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Proven senior-level experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing methods, and automation. (minimum 10 years of experience)
  • Strong grounding in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and problem-solving frameworks.
  • Time study, MTM, line balancing, ergonomics, layout design.
  • PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP (for automotive/precision).
  • PLC/SCADA basics; robotics/cobot integration; machine vision.
  • Data analysis (SPC, DOE) and exposure to AI/ML concepts (classification/regression, CV).
  • CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), MES/ERP familiarity, Python/R or analytics tools (optional but valued), Minitab/JMP, Power BI/Tableau.
  • Experience with MES (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Ignition), IIoT platforms, and data historian systems.
  • Solid level of English. (mandatory).
