JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The
Senior Corporate Lawyer
will provide strategic legal advice and representation in dispute resolution, regulatory, and contractual matters related to the electricity and energy markets, ensuring the protection of the company's interests and compliance with applicable national and international legal frameworks. The role supports both corporate and operational teams in minimizing legal risks and facilitating sound business decisions within the energy sector.

  1. Lead and coordinate the company's dispute resolution strategy across administrative, civil, commercial, and arbitration proceedings, particularly those arising from energy supply, transmission, or infrastructure contracts.
  2. Draft, negotiate, and review commercial, regulatory, and project-related contracts, such as PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and interconnection arrangements.
  3. Advise management and business units on electricity market regulation, including generation, transmission, and commercialization under the applicable regulatory framework (Osinergmin, CNE, Ministry of Energy, etc.)
  4. Represent the company in regulatory and administrative proceedings before governmental agencies, market operators, and dispute resolution boards.
  5. Provide preventive legal advice and early risk assessment for potential conflicts involving suppliers, contractors, partners, and offtakers.
  6. Support the management of claims and disputes with contractors, ensuring efficient evidence collection and coordination with external counsel when needed.

  8. Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes in the energy sector that could affect corporate operations, reporting key impacts and proposing mitigation actions.
  9. Collaborate with the Regulatory, Compliance, and Corporate Affairs teams to ensure alignment between business practices and the evolving energy legal framework.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and compliance programs, especially those linked to transparency, ethics, and corporate governance.

Requirements:

  • 100% On Site job
  • Law bachelor degree
  • More than 8 years of professional experience
  • 5 years of experience in the power generation sector
  • Experience in corporate legal advice
  • Preferably Specialization in Business Law
  • +B2/C1 (oral and written) English Level
    (Must)
  • Business law, critical analysis and legal reasoning, and advanced compliance skills
  • Effective communication, corporate law and professional ethics skills
