The Role

Are you ready to join the team of software engineering experts at Kyndryl? We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Technical Specialist to contribute to our software engineering space and provide critical skills required for the development of cutting-edge products.  

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will develop solutions in specific domains such as Security, Systems, Databases, Networking Solutions, and more. You will be a leader – contributing knowledge, guidance, technical expertise, and team leadership skills. Your leadership will be demonstrated in your work, to your customers, and within your teams.

Your aim throughout, is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of technology and technical methods and methodologies.

Driving the design, development, integration, delivery, and evolution of highly scalable distributed software you will integrate with other layers and offerings. You will provide deeper functionality and solutions to address customer needs. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams to get high-quality products and features through the agile software development lifecycle.

Your continuous grooming of features/user stories to estimate, identify technical risks/dependencies and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders will ensure the features are delivered with the right quality and within timeline. You will maintain and drive the clearing of technical debt, vulnerabilities, and currency of the 3rd party components within the product.

As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will also coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available, secure, distributed software in a scalable architecture. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Compentences: Graduates from university or technical careers in systems engineering, computing, software, or similar fields.

Experience Developing Applications (experience in CI/CD for mobile, web, or Android/iOS applications. And Knowledge of popular stores where the deployment of new web, mobile versions of applications  are deployed – 6 to 8 years

Experience Creating Pipelines of intermediate complexity which involves technologies : Shell scripting, ansible, groovy – 3 years

Experience deploying components in Kubernetes containers, microservices – 3 years

Experience deploying solutions in PaaS services. (WebApps, WebApps 4 container, Cosmo DB, etc)

Experience solving intermediate complexity incidents on DevSecOps tools – 2/3 years

API tools knowledge (Jenkins, GitHub  Enterprise, Bitbucket, etc)

Experience designing solutions on DevSecOps platforms which require integrations between the tools

Expererience designing initiatives that generate impacts on indicators DevSecOps Lead Time, Change Fail, Availability, Time to restore, Deployment Frequency

Experience working on Agile frameworks (Scrum,etc)

Certifications: Devops Fundamentals , Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (or equivalent)

Desirable: DevSecOps Continuous Delivery Architecture

RESPONSABILITIES

• Level 3 Support: Incident/Problem resolution and determining new functionalities.
• Develop new functionalities and tools.
• Creation of POCs on new tools for evaluation prior to future implementation.
• Definitions/Implementation of new frameworks.
• Analysis, Development of DevSecOps tool integration, Creation of medium/high complexity pipelines.
• Support and coach lower-level members
• Plan and design new frameworks or techniques in accordance with available  practices and tools
• Ensure compliance with security guidelines at the level of development and use of tools
• Ability to self-learn new programming languages
• Code review by team members
• software architecture design on the tools to be implemented, as a result of the POCs
• Coordination with hardware brand supports for  Level 3 support is any mistake would be detected from same SW/factory.
• Investigate in new trends in software development and aligne them to company requirements.
• Ability to manage and implement high impact, complex initiatives/projects, controlling associated risks.
• Value delivery, Early identification and timely management of indicators/, critical dates, among others.
• Generation of proposals on new technologies, with a holistic view of the technologies in the market and their applicability
• Evangelization in the methodological framework and tools, promoting its use in different areas
• global coaching to team members, ensuring "best practices" and their career development
• Solve more complex problems associated with their scope of action (DevOps)
• Lead the overall architecture of the solution, helping the rest of the architects adopt their vision.
