Overview

We are seeking a
z/OS Administrator
to support ongoing mainframe operations within a long-term Mainframe-as-a-Service environment. The role focuses on maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of z/OS systems and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain z/OS operating systems and related components.

• Handle system configuration, tuning, capacity planning, and continuous monitoring.

• Perform system upgrades, PTFs, and SMP/E maintenance cycles.

• Manage mainframe security (RACF or equivalent).

• Oversee workload automation, storage configuration, and system resources.

• Troubleshoot system issues affecting performance or availability.

• Collaborate closely with other mainframe teams such as IMS and DB2.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a z/OS System Administrator.

• In-depth knowledge of z/OS internals, JES2/JES3, SMP/E, and WLM.

• Experience handling system upgrades, patches, and integrations.

• Familiarity with RACF administration and mainframe security practices.

• Ability to manage logical and physical system components.

• Able to work effectively in English (ESL welcome).

• Availability to work Central Time hours.
