You will develop the first steps of our business in Latam to become a consolidated player in this part of the world What will you do? As a Legal Specialist , you will provide legal advice on commercial and administrative matters and perform reviews of legal documents: Compliance System Management: Implement, maintain, and update the AML/CFT Prevention Manual and internal policies. Conduct and periodically update the company’s AML/CFT Risk Assessment. Represent the company as the Compliance Officer before the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) and other supervisory authorities. Due Diligence and Monitoring: Lead the Enhanced and Simplified Due Diligence processes for clients, focusing on those considered high risk due to the amount and nature of operations (heavy machinery). Monitor transactions and operations that are unusual or of high value, investigating their origin and legitimacy. Maintain and update the client database and verification lists (PEPs, restrictive lists). Reporting and Training: Prepare and submit Unusual Operation Reports (ROIs) to the UIF within legal deadlines. Design and implement AML/CFT training and awareness programs for all employees, especially those in front-office and sales positions. Prepare periodic reports for Management on the status of the compliance system. Control and Audit: Coordinate with internal and external auditors on AML/CFT-related reviews. Investigate potential internal incidents related to money laundering. What will you need to succeed? Law degree , duly licensed and authorized to practice. Minimum of 4 years of experience , with at least 3 years in specific PLAFT compliance functions within an obligated entity (preferably in the real sector: automotive, real estate, machinery, etc.). Expert knowledge of Law No. 27693, Law No. 29038, their regulations, and UIF directives. Practical experience in the preparation and submission of Unusual Operation Reports (ROIs). Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate to advanced English level (for reviewing documentation from international clients and global compliance standards). Desirable Requirements: Diploma or specialization studies in Anti–Money Laundering (AML) Prevention. Experience in the capital goods or heavy machinery sector. Basic knowledge of anti-corruption regulations. Key Competencies: High ethical standards and integrity. Independence of judgment and firmness to oppose high-risk operations.
