Role Description The Office Associate is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting day-to-day operational and administrative activities that keep NextGen Social Leaders running smoothly. This role includes managing email and calendar scheduling, maintaining records, and organizing digital files and documentation. The Office Associate will respond to inquiries from community members and partners, provide customer support, and coordinate information related to opportunities, collaborations, and events. They will assist with basic accounting tasks such as expense tracking, invoice processing, and report preparation, as well as general office administration, including updating databases and supporting internal workflows. The role involves working closely with team members to ensure efficient operations and a responsive, well-organized experience for the community. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal correspondence with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance and Office Administration skills for managing schedules, records, documentation, and digital office tools.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to respond to inquiries, support community members, and maintain a professional, empathetic approach.
- Candidates should possess foundational Accounting skills for handling basic bookkeeping, expense tracking, and invoice coordination.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with productivity software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, document editors), strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines reliably.
- Relevant experience in nonprofit, social impact, or community-focused roles is beneficial, as is familiarity with online collaboration tools.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred but not required.
