Logistics Officer

The International Potato Center (CIP) seeks an experienced LogisticsOfficer to plan and coordinate logistic functions across regions to contribute toand implement the organization’s global strategic procurement plan.

This position will be based in Lima, Peru.

Summary:

Results-drivenLogistics Officer with Six years of experience overseeing logistics operationsand managing procurement processes. Proven ability to align operations withstrategic plans, artificial intelligence, and supply chain efficiency and buildstrong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities:

Logistics

Provide senior support to global logistics operations, ensuring adherence to standard processes and alignment with the Logistics Corporate Plan.
Supervise local and international purchasing, fostering efficient and cost-effective procurement practices.
Build strong working relationships with global partners and senior managers to align functional objectives.
Contribute to the development of procedures and policies for the logistics department.
Oversee personnel's development and career path under supervision in coordination with the Logistics Senior Manager.
Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize operational transactions for improved service levels, supply-chain efficiency, and cost reduction.
Manage logistics suppliers, transforming them into virtual extensions of the company to enhance organizational value.
Lead the "Homologation of Local Suppliers" initiative.

Procurement

Supervise the procurement processes for servicecontracts in Peru, ensuring seamless execution and optimal resourceutilization.
Innovate and implement Key PerformanceIndicators (KPIs) to meticulously track and enhance logistics and warehouseactivities, upholding a commitment to performance excellence.
Drive the design and execution of improvementsto standard global processes, fostering the dissemination of logistics bestpractices across the organization.
Respond to technical queries and supportrequests, consistently delivering timely and accurate resolutions andunwaveringly committed to a high-standard client service mindset.

Technology

Efficiently compile comprehensive data and generate insightful reportson critical logistics elements, including supply chain management and strategicsourcing, providing valuable insights to internal clients and management.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends, consistently monitoringsignificant developments, emerging opportunities, and challenges within therealm of responsibility.
Showcase a robust understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) andits practical applications in logistics, contributing to the organization'stechnological prowess.
