What we’re looking for:As a Senior Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. Your main activities will include providing daily standups to clients, attending and providing insights in 1 on 1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers, performing updates to projects based on client or product team requirements, being a key part of the Project kickoff meeting, creating project documentation, deploying projects and fixing bugs, documenting and testing APIs provided by clients, setting up the basic prototype system, setting up ngrok for testing and collaboration, collaborating with the Front-End team and other teams to meet project goals and deadlines, and optionally upskilling in front-end related frameworks.Your expertise in PHP, Laravel, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will contribute to the successful delivery of projects and the achievement of project objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. 
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results.
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. 
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’. 
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended. 
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions. 

Qualifications:
  • Fluent English level
  • Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 5 years.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks Laravel.
  • Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
