The Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Directorto lead our Caulfield service. This is a unique opportunity to join a Montessori Long Day Care centre and drive operational success while fostering a culture of collaboration and respect. As the Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor, you will be the face of our centre, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and strong family partnerships. You will work alongside a supportive Senior Management team and an Educational Leadership Team who provides oversight to the Montessori program, allowing you to focus on business performance and team leadership. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of childcare leadership experience including director or nominated supervisor. This is a full-time role. Key Responsibilities Act as Nominated Supervisor and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with the National Law, Regulations, NQS and ethical standards. Ensure policies, procedures and documentation are current and implemented. Drive enrolments and build a strong waitlist through community engagement and effective communication. Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing team. Implement efficient rostering to maintain ratios and support staff wellbeing. Conduct regular staff performance reviews and follow up action. Build trust and maintain transparent communication with families. Monitor budgets and ensure the commercial health of the centre. Be visible, engaged, and supportive on the floor while managing operational priorities. Support the educational leadership team to ensure a genuine Montessori program is offered across each age group. About You Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Centre Director or Nominated Supervisor in a medium to large-scale service. Strong business acumen and proven ability to grow occupancy. Advanced rostering and compliance management skills. Takes compliance and safety seriously and addresses issues promptly. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. Highly organised and meets deadlines without reminders. Comfortable having direct conversations and managing underperformance. Calm, professional, and resilient in challenging situations. Holds a minimum Diploma in Children's Services. Holds current First Aid and Anaphylaxis training and Child Protection training. Alignment with Montessori values (training not required).
