The CO will be responsible for the compliance operations of the Company ensuring that it is fully compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements the Company has and protecting the wider PayRetailers Group, both with its Regulated and Licensed business entities.

Oversee the effectiveness of all Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") /Countering the Financing of Terrorism ("CFT") systems, compliance with applicable AML/CFT legislation and the day-to-day operation of the AML/CFT policies and procedures. Develop and maintain systems and controls (including documented policies and procedures) in line with evolving requirements.

Job duties and Responsibilities:

  • The CO works within the Company to advise the Board on all aspects of Compliance and AML/CFT related matters in the local operation.
  • The CO will be responsible for the compliance operations of the Company ensuring that it is fully compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements the Company
    has and protecting the wider PayRetailers Group, both with its Regulated and Licensed business entities.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of all Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") /Countering the Financing of Terrorism ("CFT") systems, compliance with applicable AML/CFT
    legislation and the day-to-day operation of the AML/CFT policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain systems and controls (including documented policies and
    procedures) in line with evolving requirements.
  • Fulfil the role of MLRO for the Company with responsibilities covering all aspects of the Company's activities, as required under Peruvian legislation.
  • In addition, the CO will be responsible for identifying any potential risks that may affect the reputation, safety, security, financial sustainability, and existence of the
    Company.
  • The CO will be expected to provide a better assessment of the risk management policies and protocols in order to come up with polices and recommendations to avoid threats, reduce or transfer risks and/or mitigate the effects of those which are essentially unavoidable

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Authorisation limits in accordance with internal limits and the bank mandate(s), where applicable.

    • Literate with a good standard of written English and or Spanish is highly desirable.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Experience and knowledge of Peruvian Legislation / Regulations.

    • Experience in ML/FT prevention matters.

    • A detailed understanding of reviewing and identifying risks and the controls to mitigate them.

    • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
