Get to know the Role:

We are seeking an experienced security leader to build and lead an Information Security team and shape our security strategy for our new Digibank. This role will be based in Malaysia, reporting directly to the CEO of Digibank. This is a high impact, high visibility role, responsible for defining, driving, and implementing Digibank's security strategy to protect our business from security threats and cyber-attacks. This role will require the person to be at the forefront of innovation to build this new Digibank with us.

The day-to-day activities:
  1. Provide leadership within the information security sphere through development of appropriate cyber security strategies and action plans.
  2. Obtain executive support and formulate information security goals and establish policies, standards, and procedures in line with whole-of-government cyber security directions.
  3. Develop the culture of appropriate cyber security risk assessment and risk acceptance across from stakeholders to end users.
  4. Ensure cyber security compliance to whole-of-government policies and standards.
  5. Review, endorse, and align information security and develop risk management and mitigation plans.
  6. Focused and aware of the emerging cyber security landscape to identify cyber risks to the digital bank.
  7. Recruit, hire, and retain a team of security professionals.

This role will report into Chief Risk Officer.

The must haves:
  1. 12+ years of management experience related to information security and security policies and procedures.
  2. Specific domain experience in the financial technology space, and in IT security strategy and programs in financial institutions.
  3. Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams to formulate, institute, and monitor security policies and procedures.
  4. Good understanding of both IT and business processes and the relationship between them.
  5. Proven track record of building inclusive and high-quality security organizations, and successfully executing programs that meet the objectives of the business.
  6. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid company. Singapore/Malaysia work experience is a plus.
  9. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) and other relevant qualifications is a plus.
