Job Description

Responsibilities :

Strategic Risk Management & Analysis:

  • Develop and execute a robust risk management framework, focusing on inventory control, stock accuracy, and shrinkage reduction.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all retail locations and related operational areas, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze shrinkage data and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Establish and monitor annual shrinkage reduction targets, working closely with store operations to achieve and exceed goals.

Inventory Control & Optimization:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a standardized and efficient stock counting process, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all locations.
  • Lead and oversee both regular and audit-connected stock-taking activities in warehouses and retail stores, ensuring adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze stock count data to identify discrepancies, recurring issues, and process inefficiencies, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review and optimize inventory control processes, aligning with industry best practices and company policies, to minimize discrepancies and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain, warehouse, production, and store teams to ensure seamless inventory flow, accurate stock levels, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, including process adjustments, staff training, and system enhancements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for risk and control matters, fostering strong relationships with Finance, Accounting, Warehouse, Production, and Store Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with store operations teams to ensure consistent application of stock-taking procedures and drive shrinkage reduction initiatives.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication to ensure alignment and effective collaboration across departments.
  • Work with finance and accounting to ensure proper recording of inventory and losses.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into reported inventory discrepancies, fraud, or other irregularities, gathering evidence and providing detailed reports with clear recommendations.
  • Review and act on whistleblowing reports and other internal sources of information, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on shrinkage levels, risk management activities, stock count performance, and investigation outcomes, presenting data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Document and improve internal control procedures.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in risk management, inventory control, or a related field within the retail industry.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and shrinkage reduction techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and experience with ERP systems or inventory tracking software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, Certified Internal Auditor) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles related to inventory.
