The project:

The Latin America region is home to some of the world's fastest growing economies, with large-scale investment in infrastructure set for the coming years. We are looking to expand our footprint within Latin America from our base in Lima, Peru with potential opportunities throughout both Central and South America including Mexico & Colombia. We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic PMO risk management lead with a background in large NEC Infrastructure Projects who is looking for an opportunity to deliver large Civil Engineering schemes with both a huge social and economic benefit for Latin America.

You'll be responsible for:

• Advising and training ANIN staff at all levels on matters concerning the correct management of risks and opportunities.
• Supporting UKDT risk managers with the advice and training they deliver at coordination hub and package/project levels.
• Reviewing technical notes and assurance notes prepared by the coordination hub risk managers for consistency and clarity of the message they are aiming to provide.
• Reviewing formal and informal training presentations prepared by UKDT in relation to risks, opportunities and issues management for consistency and clarity of the message trying to be delivered.
• Providing support to the UKDT PMO and Programme Controls leads and other UKDT PMO staff in relation to PMO services provided to ANIN.
• Create, contribute to and review regular PMO reports.
• Leading Knowledge Transfer for risk management including preparation of training materials and conducting training sessions.
• Support the client PMO risk manager in facilitating risk meetings at all levels of the organization.
• Support the UKDT leadership team in providing advice to the client in relation to strategic risks, opportunities and issues.
• Run regular risk team meetings to align UKDT and ANIN risk management teams in relation to consistency in process, continuous improvement and addressing assurance observations by UKDT.
• Assist the ANIN PMO risk manager in the administration of the enterprise risk management tool, RiskHive.
• Assist the cost and risk management teams to establish and manage project and programme contingencies.

You'll need to have:

• Significant experience of effective risk management leadership on significant/landmark PMO projects.
• Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust portfolio risk management processes.
• Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software.
• Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s.
• Practical application and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics and intelligent reporting, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
• Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organisations).
• Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.
