**The Opportunity**:A junior multi-site operator in South America is currently bolstering their corporate team with a requirement for a VP Operations - Peru to run the gold sites/plants within their portfolio.

**Job title**:VP Operations - Peru
**Location**:Lima HQ or Remote with Site travel - Approx 50%+
**Roster**:TBC

**Salary**:USD Gross salary + STIP + Relocation (if needed)
**Timeframe**:ASAP Start
- Operations background - Mining Engineering, Process etc. (Process, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy preferred)
- First language level English, fluent in Spanish
- Will travel to 3 sites - will probably take up to 40% of their time
- Good management skills, managing multiple facilities with different personalities
- Operations focused
- Would have managed contractors
- Technical knowledge (from mining engineering perspective) of heap leach facilities and processes
- Previous experience in LATAM
- Will oversee construction and building a heap leach facility
- Will have brought a project to completion on time and on budget
- Will have shown the ability to help a company, team, site grow as part of their experience.
- Deal with stakeholders and communities
- Will travel to sites in South America a few times per quarter
- Proven manager
- A proven safety track record
- Ability to mentor, adjust, implement and train

**Top Line Requirements**:

- Process or Metallurgical background
- Gold experience
- Management experience (3 years)
- Ability to mentor and delineate results/reports for corporate team
- Spanish fluency
- Ability to dedicate good portion of time to operations in-country

Please note that expat experience will be very highly regarded for this VP role, as will the ability to benefit the regional teams across multiple plants through auditing, mentoring and improving.
