Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

**How you will contribute**

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

**More about this role**

Engineer I is responsible for leading and supporting technical activities of R&D related to Innovation, Brand Maintenance and Quality initiatives on formulations of Biscuit category in Wacam.

The responsibility include:

- Shelf-life evaluations.
- Create RMAT, FORM and FP specifications in ION system.
- Continuous Improvement of the product related to quality.
- Support to conversion projects of Biscuit in Lima plant and/or External Manufactured.

**What you need to know about this position**:

- Act as Product leader on medium and high complexity projects, releasing raw material specifications, supplier development, pilot and industrial trials, feasibility studies for project implementation at the facilities, supporting product development, margin management and quality improvement projects.
- Execute product development activities such as: lab analysis, pilot tests, samples production for consumer tests, in the R&D lab.
- Knowledge of the Innovation pipeline of local Biscuit Wacam and LA, looking for synergies and opportunities.
- Lead projects start-up of new production lines, considering R&D Product responsibilities and scope.
- Be part of IIM teams (technologies definition, new lines, risk assessment, etc.) and support to technical assessment required for biscuit projects.
- Support the PQB Studies with regional team integrating information from R&D Product development and Consumer Science standpoint.
- Support the evaluations of NPDs / Productivity / BCP / Quality Improvement Initiatives with Consumer Science with focus on Biscuit category trough a Sensory Panel.
- Join Global Forums to share/receive new guidance related to global or regional brands alignment to playbooks. Use specific systems used by RDQ community to register projects, reports, resource allocation, specs and development process registration.

**Education / Certifications**:

- University degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, bachelor's in food, Chemistry, Agroindustrial Engineer or related.

**Job specific requirements**:

- High technical expertise in product development for food industry or companies of the same segment.
- Handling multiple projects for over 2 years.
- Experience in developing product / process / formula for more than 2 years.
- Experience in the marketing of product / process / formula for over 2 years.
- Intermediate or Advanced English Level.
