Our Project Delivery colleagues within our PPD® clinical research services direct, coordinate and manage the technical and operational aspects of projects, securing the successful completion of clinical trials. This includes collaborating with functional area leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues on the project and to ensure that solutions are implemented. Project Delivery is vital to helping our customers deliver life-changing therapies.

Through our global team, you may engage in diverse initiatives and projects, or be part of a virtual international project team gaining cross-cultural experience. Therapeutic scopes include: infectious and respiratory diseases, oncology/hematology, neurosciences, cardiovascular and metabolic, general medicine and vaccines.

Contributes to the overall success of the proposal development process from receipt through client decision, in order to increase the RFP hit rate and positively impact business growth; through recommendation and implementation of operational strategy for proposal, bid defense, accountability for all related deliverables and successful management of the process. Leverages all opportunities to achieve targets while enhancing customer relations. Primarily responsible for RFPs and supplemental documents for single or multi service/region clinical development protocols or programs and simple to moderate RFIs.

**A day in the Life**:

- Identifies and recommends operational proposal strategic plans for assigned area (TA or Segment) that align with commercial win strategy; determines the level of proposal deliverable and key operations messages, and manages the triage process within clinical operations to meet proposal deliverables.
- Ensures budget reflects operational strategy and oversees achievement of profitability targets.
- Partners with Clinical operations, Commercial organization and GPD to enhance proposal efficiency management in order to decrease COS.
- Drives the development of the operations segment of the proposal deliverable within prescribed timelines, disseminates operational strategy to proposal team and develops KPI's, ensuring a successful operations segment of the deliverable.
- Collaborates with the cross functional team in matrix environment to establish an efficient and aligned process within clinical operations.
- Manages operations escalation process and advises commercial strategy team.
- Assesses cross functional satisfaction and recommends future strategy and actions to ensure the overall success of the process and outcomes.
- Recommends and implements revisions for Clinical Operations post-award to successfully execute proposal.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- And previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12+ years’).

- Organized, proficient at multi tasking, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a high pressure/time sensitive environment, capability to handle multiple issues on multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrates solid experience/proficiency in proposal development, demonstrated project management and planning skills
- Experience of leading, liaising and coordinating with cross functional teams. Able to aply range of negotiation skills and techniques to achieve results
