We are looking for a strong leader, results oriented and with deep commercial and business awareness, to lead Dentons’ regional finance function in Latin America and the Caribbean (“LAC”).

The LAC Finance Director leads the regional finance activity, guiding and supporting the finance and accounting functions of each member of the LAC region, and advising LAC leadership on trends, opportunities, best practices and processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.

The role involves close interaction with regional leadership, with other members of the LAC team, and with the Firm globally to develop, implement, and drive business strategies and key initiatives to further the LAC region’s success, in alignment with the Firm’s strategic goals and objectives.
**Requirements**:
**1. Lead strategic planning and implementation; provide strategic advice**:

- Develop and ensure implementation of the regional financial plan, aligned with our global strategy and regional priorities. Serve as key advisor to LAC leadership regarding business planning, profitability, growth targets, revenue goals, and global programs and initiatives, including the global budget.
- Monitor current business trends and best practices across the LAC region; maintain expert understanding of applicable laws, rules, and guidelines; communicate the impact of new developments and regulations and make appropriate recommendations for action.
- Ensure that LAC leadership is aware of successes and challenges of Dentons globally and in other regions regarding business operations to leverage best practices.

**2. Lead the finance function in the LAC region; **providing assistance and support**

Lead the finance function, provide support and assistance, and develop processes and best practices to facilitate the following for each LAC member and for the LAC region collectively:

- Adequate financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, treasury, billing and collections, banking relationships, audit, cash management, records management, and tax.
- Maintenance of robust financial controls and risk management environment.
- Compilation and analysis of financial and operational data and sharing of such data to local, regional, and global leadership in a consistent manner and in meaningful, concise, and actionable terms.
- Design and coordinate implementation of advanced financial reporting tools and metrics associated with utilization, budget, revenue, profitability, realization, leverage, and other areas; recommend organizational and operational improvements based on data analysis.
- Development of effective and creative pricing strategies to enhance profitability, in collaboration with the global and regional pricing teams.
- Support strategic growth activities in each member and regionally - firms, practice groups, and lateral partners - including due diligence, and integration planning.
- Awareness of new approaches and solutions to international taxation, foreign currency exchange, and other international finance areas.
- Promotion of clear and effective lines of communication and collaboration across the regional organization.
- Knowledge sharing and interaction among office managers to address different office administrative issues across the region.
- Support for initiatives relevant to the LAC region, including Clients & Markets projects, Technology, Talent, and operations.

**3. Represent the region in global forums**
- Represent the LAC region in all relevant finance forums, ensuring LAC’s issues are adequately conveyed.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the global finance team and finance leadership in other regions worldwide, ensuring seamless cross region interaction and development of common financial tools where appropriate.
- Actively engage and participate in global projects, including transformation processes, acting as representative in global forums and committees as relevant, and supporting planning and rollout.
- Actively engage and participate as the LAC region representative in discussions within the global finance function regarding the annual global budget.

**Experience, Skills & Knowledge**
- Significant broad-based strategic finance and accounting leadership experience with multi-office, professional services organizations.
- Extensive experience leading all functional aspects of finance and accounting including financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury, audit, billing and collections, tax, and risk management.
- Proven success leading the collection, analysis, and translation of technical financial and operating data into usable, actionable, terms, including advanced metrics, analytics, and dashboards.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrated success collaborating and leading in a consensus-driven, global organization; the ability to lead through influence rather than control and to create consensus-based support for business strategies and decisions.
