- About the role
- Ensure all required equipments are prepared and handled in a proper and timely manner to our passengers and they are returned in the same way beforing storing them.
Proactivity and communication are the key to success in this role. Punctuality and responsibility are important when organizing the adventure equipment that will be used for our groups. Coordination and communication must be given with complete confidence, knowing that this role that you will fulfill is vital for excellence in the operation and providing excellent service to travelers
- Responsibilities- Prepare equipment daily (every time we have a group) following the equipment preparation process that consists, based on the information sent by the CS area, obtaining the necessary equipment, reviewing one by one that all the equipment (kitchenware, tents, mats, etc.) are in good condition, do the same with the rental equipment (sleeping bags, inflatable mattresses, walking sticks) and then proceed to register all the equipment that will go on the route and store it in the departure lockers.- Daily review of equipment returning from the Inca Trail, Lares Trek, Choquequirao and Salkantay before storing them on the lockers- Maintain up-to-date information on adventure equipment for the Inca Trail as well as other treks. performing a monthly inventory and monthly reports on the status of the equipment. dismantle equipment in poor condition and send equipment that requires it for maintenance.- In coordination with the Warehouse specialist, prepare a monthly budget for the maintenance of adventure equipment and rental equipment- Review all documents (contracts, booklets, control sheets) sent by the personnel who supervise km82, and then file them or deliver them to the corresponding area, whether talent or accounting.- Record daily rental reports and maintain rental updates one by one in order to allow records/statistics. Make sure damaged equipment does not return to the hike.- Assist and lead when necessary, provide support within the work team of our area to meet daily objectives. that means this person must learn about the job of each member of the team and be prepared to perform that job.- As a member of a family, provide support when necessary to the different areas of our office to learn more about the operation and get involved in all possible operations, reservations and customer service activities. etc this person has to have the ability to be open to new knowledge.- Support other departments when required by direct managers (Trek Manager and Cusco Ops Manager).- Monitor warehouse procedures and maintain an open dialogue to improve or change processes that help us better manage times.- Monitor all food requirements for the hikes: Inca, Lares, Choquequirao and Salkantay and recommend the necessary changes according to the budgets and needs of the hike, the people and the company.- Review the trek products in detail one by one making sure that all products are in good contiions, check the valid date for each product, brands and presentations, then organize them to be sent to the route.- Prepare and clean the food such as the trouth, chicken and beef, in order to froze them for a good conservation in the route.- In case of emergency, you might be required to assist outside of regular work hours.- Other duties assigned by the manager, related to warehouse operations.
- Requirements
- Must have- 2+ years of experience working in tourism operations, in Logistics or Warehouse Operations.- Basic to Intermediate English language skills, both written and oral.- Knowledge of the Andean Quechu
