Assistant Editor

1. Job Description

The Assistant Editor shall perform the duties of an assistant video editor under the guidance and supervision of the Editor in Chief. The Assistant Editor's main role is to assist the Editor in Chief with their tasks and fulfill weekly responsibilities as outlined below. The Assistant Editor shall also follow the YouTuber's style in editing videos. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Editing English videos for the Employer's YouTube channel.
- Incorporating visual effects, transitions, music, and relevant video clips to enhance the video narrative.
- Collaborating with the YouTuber and other editors to understand the vision and editing style.
- Participating in research and online communication with the YouTuber and other editors.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all worked content.
- Meeting established deadlines and maintaining clear communication.

2. General Responsibilities

The Assistant Editor shall:

- Edit videos according to the provided specifications and guidelines.
- Maintain quality and consistency in editing.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Employer.
- Adhere to all copyright laws and ensure that all images and clips used are copyright-free.

3. Communication and Working Hours

There are no set working hours as long as the Assistant Editor provides the required product, which includes edited videos and clips posted on social media platforms. This means you manage your work at your own time. The Assistant Editor is expected to respond to communication via WhatsApp as soon as possible. Zoom meetings may be scheduled in the future for project discussions and updates. The Assistant Editor is encouraged to ask questions to their superior, the Editor in Chief, and should check the designated Word document daily for any changes or updates.

**Experience**:

- Content creation - 1 year (Desirable).

**Requirements**:

- Completion of bachelor's degree (Desirable).
- Own laptop/PC.
- Access to the internet.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic knowledge of video editing.
- Must be 18+
- Answer a specific question provided by the hiring team.
