Further information on the company can be found on its website: www.essexlg.com About the Role Solution Intelligence (SI) Specialist Location(s): Toronto, Canada Responsibilities - SI Specialists have excellent analytical abilities and business problem solving skills and can lead analytical workstreams end to end throughout the lifecycle of a client engagement. - SI Specialists are key executors - owning a workstream from framing hypotheses, collecting data, performing analysis, mentoring & guiding analysts and developing solution design/ implementation blueprints. - SI Specialists can structure complex analytical problems and produce high quality analyses with little guidance from SI Managers and Client Initiative Leaders. - They are highly proficient in big-data analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, Python or R and are experienced in manipulating granular transactional or customer-level data as well as establishing best practice standards for the wider team to implement. - They create the analysis plan, plugging in the pieces between target state deliverables and piece-wise targets and can own the delivery of the analytical pieces, guide analysts on the team as needed. - They can synthesize analyses into “so what” recommendations, contribute to and lead client presentations and independently manage stakeholders. - SI Specialists may support development of complex AI/ ML models and guide UI/ UX designers on translating business needs to solution designs. Qualifications - Graduate from Premier Educational Institutes, with excellent academic records - 5+ years of experience, preferably in analytically intensive roles within financial services or professional services - Proficient in Excel/ PowerPoint and one or more big data analytics languages - SQL, Hive, SAS, Python/PySpark and R - Ability to frame hypotheses, design analysis plan, structure complex analytical tasks and produce high quality solutions and implementable insights - Strong ownership mindset and experience in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and working teams across business, finance, analytics and technology - Enthusiasm to quickly learn, adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to work in an international environment with a global team and clients from diverse geographies Required Skills - Experience working in professional services firms and/ or banking, insurance or other financial institutions - Prior experience in guiding and mentoring junior resources - Open to travel and exploring the world - Working knowledge of statistical techniques and practical experience in developing AI/ ML models - Experience in and enthusiasm towards guiding UI/UX design of visualization products (Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI) or web/ iOS applications Seniority level - Mid-Senior level Employment type - Full-time Job function - Consulting, Business Development, and Analyst #J-18808-Ljbffr
