$140,000 – $150,000 + superannuation per year Reports directly to: Management Committee Employment type: Full-time Salary: $150,000 per annum + superannuation Benefits: Not-for-profit salary packaging, phone allowance, car park Location: Inner west Brisbane office (on-site role, parking provided) About Children by Choice: Children by Choice (CbyC) is a not-for-profit incorporated association providing high-quality, evidence-based information on pregnancy options through community education, counselling, information and referral services. We are a feminist organisation committed to reproductive autonomy, social justice and reducing barriers to care. About the Role: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall leadership of Children by Choice and is responsible for the organisation’s day‑to‑day operations, service delivery and advocacy. Reporting directly to the Management Committee, the CEO works in partnership with the Committee to set and implement strategic direction and to ensure the long‑term sustainability of the organisation. The CEO is also responsible for ensuring that CbyC meets all contractual, legislative and regulatory obligations. Key Outcomes of the CEO Role - Optimised use of organisational resources to achieve strategic goals. - Assured financial sustainability and effective funding oversight. - Strengthened relationships with key stakeholders, including government, non‑government agencies, sector partners and philanthropic organisations. - Ongoing compliance with regulatory, contractual and governance requirements. - Increased organisational capability, leadership and workforce development. - Strengthened reputation and public profile of Children by Choice. About You CbyC’s new CEO will be a respected, values‑aligned and collaborative leader who embraces our vision, mission and values. You will demonstrate strong communication skills across a range of settings, including staff leadership, stakeholder engagement and public representation. You will bring senior leadership experience in the not‑for‑profit or community sector, with a strong understanding of women’s health and/or sexual and reproductive health. You will have experience implementing strategic plans, managing not‑for‑profit finances, engaging stakeholders and leading diverse teams. It is a genuine requirement of this position that the CEO be a person who identifies as a woman as per the exemption granted to CbyC by the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
