Engineering Manager Overview The Engineering Manager will lead a high-performing software development team, delivering innovative and scalable solutions that power Paysafe’s LATAM payment platforms. This position plays a key role in enabling our teams to deliver high-quality software while fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for leading teams of developers through the design, development, testing and deployment of key features of the platform. This position partners closely with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering peers to ensure alignment and successful delivery of our Latam technology roadmap. Role Remit People Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop teams of software engineers, creating a supportive and motivating environment that encourages professional growth. Translate Paysafe’s strategic vision into clear objectives for the team. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and support career development paths. Build trust and collaboration within a multicultural, distributed engineering organization. Delivery & Execution Oversee the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Drive Agile and Lean delivery practices, ensuring efficient team workflows and continuous improvement. Collaborate with technical leads and architects to ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions. Manage delivery timelines, resourcing, and project milestones, ensuring transparency and accountability. Technical & Operational Excellence Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, security first, CI/CD, and cloud-first principles. Support the team in adopting new technologies and architectural improvements aligned with global standards. Identify and mitigate delivery risks, escalating where appropriate and providing recommendations. Foster a culture of simplicity, quality, and innovation across engineering processes. Cross-Regional Collaboration Partner with engineering leaders at Paysafe to align priorities and coordinate cross-team dependencies. Communicate effectively across geographies, ensuring visibility of progress, challenges, and achievements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of global engineering practices and culture. Scope The Engineering Manager oversees engineering teams responsible for developing and maintaining core product capabilities and backend services that support Latam payment solutions. This role has a direct impact on delivery quality, operational stability, and the success of Paysafe’s LATAM Engineering organization. Key Challenges Balancing delivery expectations across teams and time zones. Driving adoption of engineering excellence and agile maturity. Leading through change while maintaining team engagement and motivation. Ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategy. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development practices. Experience leading multi-disciplined development teams in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc.). Technical proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, TypeScript) and experience with microservices, APIs, and containerization. Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results across distributed teams. Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
