It’s an exciting time to join our team ABOUT THE ROLE We’re on the lookout for an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Dandenong South DC operations. Reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful inbound and outbound shipment of products, driving operational excellence, and leading a high-performing warehouse team. You’ll play a key role in identifying and implementing operational synergies and continuous improvement initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead safe and efficient warehouse operations with a safety-first mindset. - Manage daily DC functions including inventory governance, dispatch, and resource utilisation. - Drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities. - Oversee staff management: recruitment, training, development, and scheduling. - Monitor inventory discrepancies and control operational costs. - Negotiate freight rates and manage external provider relationships. - Ensure equipment and vehicle maintenance is up to date. - Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, procurement) to align warehouse activities with business needs. - Conduct safety drills and ensure WHS compliance. - Represent NTAW professionally and undertake special projects as required. ABOUT YOU To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: - Proven experience in a warehousing or logistics leadership role. - A passion for building a strong safety culture aligned with our DICE values (Decent, Innovative, Collaborative, Energetic). - Strong people leadership and team motivation skills. - Commercial pragmatism and a continuous improvement mindset. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - Adaptability, innovation, and resilience. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Current LF licence and valid C class driver’s licence. - Willingness to obtain LO licence and submit to a driving history check. - 5+ years in warehousing operations. - Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems. - Proficiency in MS Office. - Physically fit to meet role requirements. - MR licence. - Experience in the tyre and wheel sector. - Understanding of inventory accuracy and stock take processes. - Current Police Check. - Ability to undergo pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
