Mine Deeping Section Chief II

Main Purpose: Supervise, plan, and organize the activities related to the mine using longhole drill underground methods (direct drilling and blasting activities). Interact with the Mine Operations, Geomechanics, Geology, and Productivity areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering (Certified by Engineer School).
2. A minimum of 7 years of related job experience in mining operations, including 4 years in the direction of drilling activities and blasting of the long drill method.
3. English: oral and written intermediate level.
4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (basic level).
5. Strong teamwork skills and personnel management abilities.
6. Understanding of complex procedures and systems in specialized or functional activities.
7. Commitment to safety, respect, and accountability.
8. Strong collaboration skills to build positive relationships with diverse groups.
9. Ability to anticipate potential problems and identify out-of-the-ordinary conditions.
10. Strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct and supervise the implementation of the Long Drills system.
2. Coordinate with support areas for the design of the method.
3. Supervise workers in drilling and blasting activities.

Key Relationships and Department Overview: Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, the Mine Deeping Section Chief plays a key role in the safe and productive operation of the crew. This position follows a days and nights rotation and the activities will take place inside the mine.
