Main Purpose:
Oversee, plan, and coordinate mine activities using longhole drill underground methods (direct drilling and blasting). Interact with Mine Operations, Geomechanics, Geology, and Productivity departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise implementation of the Long Drills system.
- Coordinate with support areas for method design.
- Supervise workers in drilling and blasting activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering (Certified by Engineer School).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in mining operations (4 years in drilling and blasting direction).
- Intermediate English language skills (oral and written).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and ensure accountability.
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $180,000 per year
About the Role:
This position reports to the Mine Superintendent and plays a key role in ensuring safe and productive crew operation. The job follows a days and nights rotation and takes place inside the mine.
