About the role Are you an innovative thinker ready to make a significant impact in your next role? If you have a knack for systems, we want to hear from you. We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our close-knit team. As a key member of our Payroll team, you will manage and execute end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees, and resolve any payroll-related issues efficiently. Key responsibilities - Manage global payroll operations for employees across multiple regions (Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and Denmark), ensuring accurate processing of end-of-month and end-of-year activities. - Perform complex payroll calculations, including terminations, redundancies, overpayments, and adjustments. - Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including statutory reporting and audit support. - Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns and oversee end-of-month and end-of-year reconciliations, including superannuation obligations. - Provide expert advice on payroll matters such as salary packaging, leave entitlements, and issue resolution, supporting the Finance Manager as required. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes and champion innovation, while providing additional support during peak periods and projects. About you You will be someone who actively engages with the business, a key escalation point, with a passion for efficient processing and driving outcomes. Ideally you will have a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, you will also likely have: - Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll delivery and governance for a large organization. - Experience with large payroll systems, ideally Oracle E-BusinessSuite or similar. - Strong team player, with experience handling complex payrolls and calculations. - High standard of accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
