ASIC invites an applicant for a Senior Security Architect to join its Cyber Security team. Role Highlights - Locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane - Term: 24‑month fixed term - Salary: $163,970 – $184,566 (plus 15.4 % superannuation) - Closing date: 15 January 2026, 11:59 pm AEDT Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation and governance of security solutions for cloud‑based and hybrid environments, ensuring operational resilience. - Architect secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and evaluate controls against ACSC ISM and other frameworks. - Collaborate with solution architects, developers and stakeholders to produce architecture designs and assessments. - Identify gaps and vulnerabilities, and drive remediation actions. - Contribute to cyber security architecture principles, patterns, roadmaps and reusable building blocks. - Coordinate integration of security services into the SOC threat monitoring program. Qualifications - Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a cyber security role. - Deep expertise in designing secure cloud architectures for AWS and Azure. - Experience delivering robust solutions based on NIST, ISO 27001, ACSC ISM, ASD Essential Eight. - Leadership in SOC architecture and threat detection, with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel. - Strong IAM, MFA and SSO architecture knowledge. - Excellent communication skills. - Formal security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.) desirable but not mandatory.
