The Company Our client is an established property-focused alternative asset manager, providing capital solutions to mid-scale developments across Australia. Since inception, the business has built a strong national footprint and reputation for disciplined risk management, robust governance, and high-quality delivery across multiple asset classes. With an experienced internal team and long-standing consultant and delivery partners, the business is entering its next phase of growth on the East Coast. The Role Reporting to the Development Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of development projects within the region. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery and requires confidence operating across all stages of the development lifecycle, including feasibility, design, planning, procurement, construction delivery, and divestment. You will manage internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for the overall success of their projects, including any strategic planning, reporting, and risk management. Key Responsibilities - Full accountability for development performance from feasibility through to completion. - Oversight and management of consultants, builders, authorities and external partners. - Preparation of investment committee submissions and project reporting. - Ongoing feasibility management, reforecasting and risk mitigation. - Procurement and contractor appointment processes. - Development and execution of project-specific delivery, sales and marketing strategies. - Active contribution to divisional standards, systems and continuous improvement. Key Requirements - Proven experience delivering mid‑scale property developments end‑to‑end. - Strong background in consultant and builder oversight. - Commercially astute with sound feasibility, risk and reporting capability. - Confident operating autonomously while collaborating with senior stakeholders. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Motivated, detail‑oriented and comfortable being accountable for outcomes. This role will suit someone who enjoys owning projects in a highly autonomous environment, working across both strategy and detail, contributing to a growing development platform.
