Your role St John of God Health Care is seeking an experienced Strategy Manager to support the delivery of our mission and organisational strategy. Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Planning this role will play a key part in implementing our strategy, translating strategic intent into actionable plans, and supporting informed decision‑making across the organisation. The Strategy Manager will lead strategic analysis, business planning, and develop performance insights, working closely with executives and stakeholders across clinical, corporate, and operational teams. The role will contribute to major strategic initiatives, business cases, and projects that strengthen sustainability, service excellence, and community impact. We are seeking a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high‑quality outcomes in a complex healthcare environment. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and have the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience in strategy, consulting, or health‑related sectors will be highly regarded. The Position - Lead and coordinate strategy development, including regular review and refresh of the strategy. - Lead, support and participate in Board strategy workshop planning activities and facilitation as required. - Lead the monitoring and execution of the SJGHC strategy, including the ongoing review and maintenance of KPIs, and reporting. - Manage the development and implementation of selected strategic initiatives including service line strategies. - Evaluate, report and make recommendations on new market and service opportunities including partnerships and alliances. - Extract, analyse and compile high quality data to inform decision making and planning processes across the group - Coordinate and facilitate a central repository of data metrics and information related to activity, service delivery models and other parameters relevant to capital expenditure projects and growth planning across the group. - Monitor and identify suitable Government and other tenders and grant opportunities on an ongoing basis Position Requirement You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business and/or a leadership discipline, supported by four to eight years of experience in a similar role. Your management style is holistic, inclusive, and exemplifies servant leadership, fostering collaboration and engagement across all levels of the organisation. In addition, you bring extensive senior management experience within complex healthcare system settings, with a proven ability to navigate challenges and deliver strategic outcomes that align with organisational goals.
