Your New Role Reporting to the Head of Member Operations, the Principal, Business Enablement is a key first line role ensuring the ongoing development and implementation of enablement services for the Fund’s Member service operating model across Knowledge Management, Process Design, Service Capability and Workforce Planning and Reporting. This is a relatively new function, established to support AustralianSuper’s evolving service model. The successful candidate will be skilled at embedding the existing services, supporting ongoing developments led by key strategic projects, as well as industrialising the team’s capabilities to broaden the team’s services across the Fund, including a strategic delivery model. Key duties include but are not limited to: - Develop, implement and maintain the organisational process architecture. - Drive best practice in using to drive process efficiencies e.g. process mining, value stream mapping, and deliver more efficient and effective member outcomes. - Remove waste through analysing existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, implementing practical solutions. - Develop and implement process maps, procedures, and supporting documentation to guide consistent execution across teams. - Facilitate the creation and ongoing review of knowledge resources, ensuring content is accurate, compliant, accessible, and aligned with business objectives. - Promote a culture of knowledge sharing across teams by coordinating training sessions, workshops, and digital platforms. - Establish frameworks for capability assessment and gap analysis, supporting targeted learning and development initiatives and the onboarding of new employees. - Track progress on capability uplift, reporting outcomes and recommending adjustments to optimise business performance. - Provide training and support to teams adopting new or revised processes, helping to embed changes and minimise disruption. - Lead and mentor a team of service excellence professionals to achieve the successful delivery of the Fund’s service model. - Motivate and inspire by demonstrating commitment to the Fund’s values, decision pillars and leadership principles ensuring our Members First culture is consistently and firmly embedded in your team. - Maintain a view of capability and capacity across your team that informs development and resource planning. What You’ll Need - Extensive experience in financial service operations. - Highly developed leadership and people management capabilities. - A leader who is resilient, engaging and passionate about motivating employees to drive exceptional business and individual performance, and an ability to support cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams. - Experience in leading a team with a varied remit and different levels of experience and capabilities. - Excellent interpersonal skills which foster cooperation and teamwork in a close team environment. - An ability to work autonomously and pro-actively without supervision and to set own work plan to meet deadlines. - An ability to understand complex documents including Trust Deed, contracts and legislation. - Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong partnership approach and ability to build effective internal and external business relationships. - Excellent communication skills for all levels of the organisation – both written and verbal. - High level facilitation skills and capable management of group dynamics that lead to the effective facilitation, guidance and negotiation of successful outcomes. - Innovative, creative and curious with a strong growth mindset. - A strategic thinker who can see how parts interact with the whole (i.e. big picture thinking, across people systems, process & data). - High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters. - Commercially astute, with strong financial management, supplier management, and negotiation skill.
