We’re a growing, purpose‑led business with strong foundations and clear momentum, and we’re now seeking a Head of Sales to help drive our next phase of growth. Purpose This is a hands‑on sales leadership role suited to a strong seller who enjoys being close to customers and actively winning new business. As a player–coach, you’ll spend the majority of your time selling — managing key opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals — while also helping shape the sales rhythm, tools, and discipline that support consistent growth. Team leadership and structure will evolve over time as the business continues to scale. Reporting to the General Manager, this role suits someone who thrives in a growth‑stage SME: comfortable rolling up their sleeves, motivated by impact and momentum, and excited to help build something meaningful. Key Responsibilities - Actively lead new customer acquisition through direct selling and relationship‑driven business development. - Personally manage major accounts and high‑value opportunities while coaching and supporting the team to maintain strong pipelines and conversion. - Refine and improve sales processes, CRM reporting, and activity rhythms that support consistent, measurable growth. - Use data and digital tools (HubSpot, Excel, databases, analytics platforms) to track pipeline health, customer insights, and sales performance. - Prepare and deliver high‑quality proposals, presentations, and pitch materials, with marketing support. - Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer tastings to drive brand visibility and lead generation. - Build trusted, consultative relationships with childcare groups, and key decision‑makers. - Maintain market awareness – competitor pricing, customer trends, and emerging partnership opportunities. - Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to ensure a seamless customer journey from lead to onboarding and retention. - Share customer insights to inform marketing, product development, and menu planning. - Lead pricing and contract discussions to ensure commercially sound outcomes. - Travel as required to maintain relationships and drive regional growth. Skills and Experience - Proven history of achieving sustained growth through direct selling and partnering. - Comfortable leading pricing and contract discussions and understanding what makes a deal commercially sound. - Confident using technology and data to inform decisions – skilled in building spreadsheets, working with databases, and leveraging CRM insights to manage pipeline and performance. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging at executive and operational levels. - Deep understanding of value‑based selling and consultative sales approaches. - Background in nutrition, childcare, hospitality, or food distribution.
