The Chief Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of the LPG Tanker, supervising the deck crew and managing cargo operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in LPG tanker operations and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Cargo Operations
- Manage cargo operations, including loading and unloading procedures, to ensure safe handling of LPG.
- Evaluate the condition of the cargo and recommend any necessary corrective actions.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or defects.
- Supervise and direct the deck crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain open communication channels with the crew and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Valid STCW certification and Chief Officer's license.
- Extensive experience in LPG tanker operations.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
