About the Role
The New Business Development Manager is an individual contributor role, focused on closing new business. You will plan and prioritize business development activities to achieve company revenue goals and sales targets for defined regions. You will come up with, and implement innovative commercial strategies to maximize results and reach challenging targets. Ideally, you will leverage existing industry contacts to increase SiteMinder's client base and brand coverage in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
* Client acquisition: Create new opportunities and upsell current customers
* Achieving sales KPIs and targets: Work towards daily, weekly and monthly targets and finalizing all sales in a timely manner
* Presentation and negotiation: Prepare accurate quotes and develop and present proposals to clients in a professional and confident manner. Negotiate contracts as required, maintaining a balance between optimal service and value for the client and SiteMinder's profit margins
* CRM maintenance: Maintain accurate records of your business development activities on SiteMinder's CRM system
* Client feedback: Provide client feedback on products to the Product Team so that products can be reviewed in line with the feedback
* Partner management: Work with local industry groups and travel associations to promote SiteMinder's products and brand. Attend key functions and events, requiring occasional travel to client locations to attend meetings with relevant managers

Your Skills and Qualifications
You have solid experience in new business acquisition in the software-as-a-service space, managing the full sales cycle and working towards challenging targets. Industry background is a big plus (hotel tech, OTA, revenue management). You have a confident phone presence, fearlessness in leading meetings with prospects, and great listening skills. Self-motivation and resilience are essential to show up each day and give your best. A growth mindset - openness to feedback and coaching is necessary.
