Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to lead major engineering projects for Dyno Nobel, a global leader in the commercial explosives industry. As a Capital Project Lead - Explosives Engineering, you will be responsible for safely coordinating and supervising project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical authority for process design on major regional DNA engineering projects.
  • Oversee technical deliverables to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, managing ambiguity and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability, driving results through delegation and prioritization.
  • Create a culture of mutual respect, trust, and teamwork.
  • Promote a strong commitment to safety, leading by example.
  • Ensure design compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and HSE guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in relevant industries (mineral processing, mining, industrial chemical manufacturing, oil & gas).
  • Experience in bulk explosives processes preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
  • Able to interact with people at all levels, possessing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in detailed process design, drafting specifications, equipment selection, and system installation.
  • Familiarity with regional codes, standards, and laws.
  • Hands-on experience in plant construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and process troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and P&IDs.
  • Ability to motivate and drive teams to maximum performance.
