The Associate Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) portfolio, responsible for the tactical management of customer transportation within a specific workgroup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide customers' entire supply chain process from planning to delivery, selecting optimal transport methods and ensuring timely dispatch.
- Actively communicate with transport providers to guarantee smooth operations and timely deliveries, handling any changes or delays effectively.
- Manage shipment-related expenses and negotiate rates to stay within budget while maintaining service quality.
- Address issues in the delivery process, offering creative solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance indicators like on-time deliveries and carrier efficiency to improve our service continuously.
- Establish strong, trusting client relationships, serving as a reliable advisor.
- Maintain up-to-date information on assigned tasks and be available to provide on-call/after-hours support as needed.
- Collaborate with the team during holiday coverage and operational demands to meet customer needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience; 1+ year of customer service and/or supplier management experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with supply chain software (E2open's portfolio suite or JDA, SAP, Oracle, Mercury Gate, Pinc, etc.) is a plus.
- Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority.
- High attention to detail and proven problem-solving ability; comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting recommendations.
- Fluent English required to perform the job.
