The USAID/Peru Program Cycle and Monitoring, Evaluation, Collaboration and Learning Support Activity aims to provide technical support and services on relevant areas of the USAID program cycle. This includes planning, design, performance reporting, evaluations, conducting special studies, data quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, collaboration, learning and adaptation, use of geographic information systems, data integration, and knowledge management at all levels to support programs and activities from Peru's bilateral and South America regional portfolios, as well as from USAID Missions in South America.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior International Development Program Director to lead the overall Contract, manage the project team, and oversee contract work plans, budgets, and reports based on expected contract outputs and results using an adaptive management approach.

  • Develop and implement project strategies and goals in line with USAID priorities.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of local and international staff (employees and consultants) responsible for monitoring, evaluation, collaboration, and learning activities.
  • Ensure quality control and responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the contract.
  • Oversee data collection, monitoring, assessments, report generation, learning, and dissemination activities.
  • Identify issues and risks related to contract management and manage financial resources in accordance with the budget and USAID policies and regulations.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in international development, business administration, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting USAID MEL efforts and managing research and/or M&E projects in Peru or the South America region.
  • Proven supervisory, mentorship, and leadership capabilities for all levels of local and international staff.
  • Excellent ability to deliver sound guidance, leadership, and solutions on a variety of M&E, learning, and knowledge management tasks.
  • Excellent demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and develop relationships with USAID, local professionals, international donors, host country government counterparts, and implementing partners.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in both English and Spanish.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position based in Lima, Peru for the duration of the contract. The estimated annual salary is $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
