Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job DescriptionField Engineering Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineering Manager to join our team in this critical leadership role. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing the duties of a lead engineer in either an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or as a Project Field Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of assigned operating section.
• Proactively engaging with teams' development through competency development/assessment and feedback.
• Leading construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline.
• Coordinating with design on constructability issues.
• Reviewing material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
• Possessing responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting.
• Ensuring zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Possessing responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support component/system turnover.
• Reviewing and approving inspection test plans.
• Coordinating reviews of subcontractor submittal.

Required Skills and QualificationsEducation and Experience

• Bachelor's degree related to the position (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of multiple technical engineering disciplines relating to the construction of heavy industrial projects.
• Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
• Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes.
• Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's 'Zero Accidents' safety program.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Knowledge of current industry design standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
