Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team in Yanacocha, Peru. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Planning & Packaging: Prepare construction drawings and sketches, facilitate planning construction methods and procedures
  • Material Management: Initiate requisitions for field purchases, prepare quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment
  • Quantities: Verify commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required
  • Safety / Quality Control: Ensure zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree related to the position (or international equivalent), and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors
  • Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline, cost, scheduling and/or contracts administration relating to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility
  • Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies
  • Knowledge of Bechtel's 'Zero Accidents' safety program
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards
