One of the founders has a proven track record of exiting to one of the largest private equity funds, while the other has experience working at a top US investment bank and several well-known middle market private equity firms.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to play a pivotal leadership role in our rapid growth. This individual will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations and successful new market launches. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a startup or small business environment. They should be comfortable working with remote teams across multiple time zones and countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Oversee a team of 45 internal operations staff and contractors, providing regular feedback and fostering team growth.
- Operations Management: Manage the Operations team to ensure that markets are well-stocked, beautiful, and performing (revenue + profit).
- Problem-Solving: Actively monitor market problems and ensure that the Operations team quickly solves them. Intervene on higher-level problems or those without a clear SOP.
- New Market Openings: Onboard new properties, chase down answers to key onboarding questions, and ensure that the team is ready for new market openings.
- Client Success & Expansion: Find ways to creatively increase revenue and profits, proactively ensure excellent relationships with clients, and help expand into other target properties.
- Merchandiser Success: Screen and/or interview potential merchandisers, ensure their satisfaction, coach them to work faster and more effectively, and develop training materials.
