Cultivating Global Understanding through Education

The in-country consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive program that showcases the richness of Peruvian culture and education.

This position requires a candidate with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as experience working with diverse groups and individuals.

Key Deliverables:

  • Deliver key presentations on the education system and culture and facilitate participant discussion groups.
  • Facilitate local cultural and historical site visits.
  • Facilitate meetings with local education officials.
  • Provide interpretation services where needed for guest speakers, cultural and school site visits.
  • Lead visits to local schools.
  • Serve as a point of contact in the event of an emergency during travel.
  • Serve as a liaison and provide support for U.S. teachers and IREX staff in-country.
  • Arrange group logistics such as transportation and meals, communicating with local partners and vendors.
  • Prepare proper financial documentation and reconciliation of expenses.
  • Resolve other program-related issues, as necessary.
  • Create a report documenting the activities of the in-country program, including lessons learned and recommendations for future programming.
