About the Role

The Contracting Specialist plays a critical role in executing the region's Buying strategy, focusing on cost optimization and service quality. This involves conducting research, negotiating vendor contracts, and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders to ensure the objectives of the region are achieved.

  • Develop and execute regional buying strategies that meet organizational cost objectives and service standards.
  • Build strong relationships with existing vendors and source new ones as required, encouraging innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts to maximize cost value and ensure G Adventures' preferences are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize purchasing and utilization in the region.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant travel, contracting/buying, and operation experience in the region.
  • Proven experience in negotiating rates and services, managing vendor communication, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Solid knowledge of Western tourism markets and experience with buying, tour leading, and operations cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Spanish.
