The Opportunity

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking senior project manager to join our established and growing team in Peru.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Delivering the project from precontract to construction and handover stages.
- Directing the contractors on their roles and responsibilities regarding health and safety procedures and comply with safety sustainability policy and procedures.
- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimating costs.
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.
- Reviewing the work progress on daily basis.
- Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Evaluating, managing and mitigating risks.
- Ensuring quality construction standards and using of proper construction techniques.
- Ensuring that all work is executed as per the approved drawings and in line with drawing/amendments issued from time to time.
- Planning and directing site activities to mitigate delays and manage multiple schedules.
- Reviewing and validating as built drawings with respect to works executed submitted by contractors on site.

About You

You have previous experience on a similar project. You have good administration skills and good knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. You have good communication skills, both written and verbal. It is desired that you have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, contract law, environment and building regulations. Knowledge of key project processes such as design principals and management, construction sequence and processes, procurement and tendering is desired.
You have a civil engineering or project management degree or other construction related qualification. You have experience delivering major infrastructure projects, as well as NEC contract knowledge. You have a good understanding of the design/build process for large complex projects. Experience in the LATAM market would be preferred. You have proficiency in English and Spanish languages. Education in HND or equivalent level as well as being member of the CIOB is preferred.
You have the ability to manage contractors and other stakeholders, build and maintain key relationships, and work in a pressurised environment. You are enthusiastic and able to inspire others and have the ability to adapt to and manage change. You are a good communicator, with influencing and negotiating skills. You are a results and quality focussed individual. You have a good analytical and problem solving skills, using a flexible pragmatic approach.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
