Interstaff LLC is a global staffing company searching for a **qualified Paralegal - Criminal / Personal Injury Law - Remote.**

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Case Preparation**: Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments for both personal injury and criminal cases, review evidence with clients and take notes of stated discrepancies, draft memos for attorney review.
- **Legal Drafting**: Draft, review, and edit a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to demand letters, civil complaints, subpoenas/SDTs, discovery requests & responses, responses to complaints, pleadings, motions and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with California laws in regards to personal injury and criminal law.
- **Office Administration**: Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
- **Communication**: Communicate with clients to ensure all case-related documents are received and filed correctly
- **Case Organization**: Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices; maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- **Collaboration**: Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests, liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties, help with voir dire, jury selection, and witnesses' preparation, and provide assistance with case settlements

**Experience**:

- BA/BS from accredited school, law degree required
- At least 2 years of paralegal experience, working with USA law firm
- At least 1 year of paralegal experience, working with CA law firm preferred
- Fluent in English at a B2 level or above
- Working knowledge of personal injury concepts including familiarity with insurance industry and medical matters preferred
- Advanced written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead client and executive engagements and succinctly communicate complex technical and compliance matters to various audiences in an easily digestible manner
- Strong capability to work under pressure, adhere to tight timelines, and progress under their own initiative, both independently and within a highly collaborative team environment
- Proactive, with the ability to self-organize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work product
- Robust analytical, critical thinking, and innovative problem solving skills
- Knowledge of contract language, budget development and negotiations preferred

**Working From Home**:
