We're currently recruiting for our client, the major renewable energy developer and IPP for the offshore wind farms in APAC. With extensive project development experience in the development, construction, operation, and maintenance, they have established themselves as one of the few offshore wind companies in the world that have a proven track record across the life cycle of offshore wind farms. With a pipeline of offshore wind projects across Taiwan and APAC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Thrive as part of a multi-disciplinary team of technical specialists supporting all stages of the development of the offshore substation across our client's wind farms portfolio.
- Lead the design of new and novel foundation structures for offshore wind substations, during the origination and development phases of an offshore wind farm project.
- Manage the structural engineering activities and third-party design contract during the pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design stages of an offshore wind Substation (jacket and topside), and then continue supporting the project on into fabrication and construction up to Transport, installation and handover.
- Manage the contractor within the structural scope to ensure a high quality offshore substation delivery which meets project targets.
- Review contractor deliverable incl. concept design, detailed design and as built documentation for jacket and topside
- Align interfaces with key internal stakeholders such as the Electrical Lead, Mechanical Lead, Quality Lead, O&M Lead.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as the Project Certifying Body and Lender's Technical Advisor as necessary.
- Mentor and develop the junior and associate colleagues within the team and across the wider business;
- Ensure that all lessons learned from previous and current projects are incorporated into future projects
- Provide technical support to Procurement, Quality and HSSE departments
- Represent our client as a technical expert on Joint Industry and Research Projects
- Work closely across all interfaces with; internal stakeholders, external design
- houses, certification authorities, and fabrication contractors to produce cost effective and value-added solutions

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in structural engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience FEED and Detailed Design in offshore Substations (Topside and Jacket) structural engineering - preferably in Taiwan or seismic zones.
- At least **5** years and above of working experience in offshore substation design
- Having worked in a position as Structural Engineer for an offshore substation from initiation through design, fabrication, installation and commissioning to completion.
- Experience in managing or working for external contractors such as offshore substation EPC contractors and equipment subcontractors/suppliers.
- Willingness to relocate to Taiwan or work a travel/rotation basis, and travel occasionally to fabrication yards and sites in Asia.
- Good communicator and motivation to work in a diverse environment with people of different cultural backgrounds.
- Fluent spoken and written English - Mandarin is a plus.
- The drive and motivation to meet time, cost and quality targets
