The opportunity

Project: Peru Reconstruction Government to Government programme consisting of 70+ schools, 15 hospitals and 20+ river basin, gully and drainage projects nationwide.

This is an opportunity to work on a government to government programme that is providing PMO, programme and assurance to the Peruvian Government across over 100 construction projects nationwide. A major aspect of our scope is to provide the knowledge transfer and upskilling for the Peruvian ministries, leaving behind a best practice legacy long after our commission ends.

We are hiring a project controls lead who will report to the PMO director for the ARCC programme in Peru.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting and managing of all functional workstreams within the PMO, procurement, reporting, risk, planning commercial management and information management.
- Establishing and maintaining the schedule baselines and ensure project control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
- Delivering intelligence and updates on change management.
- Reporting to stakeholders, internal and external.
- Working closely with the client, sub consultants and main contractors.
- Reviewing overall project status with the project management team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
- Risk management and reporting.
- Demonstrating a clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and are able to communicate solutions in an effective, efficient, high level manner.
- Evaluating and reporting on all scheduling, cost and change controls for this scheme in conjunction with the project/PMO.
- Recognising and allocating best practice across the various project teams.
- Carrying out the duties of designated project controls manager for the project.

About you

You have a relevant degree qualification. You have experience in technical writing and commercial acumen is a plus. You will have programme controls and/or programme / project management background. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
